On October 9, 2020, the Director of the Aragon Agency for Quality Assurance and Strategic Foresight in Higher Evaluation (ACPUA) published an Announcement inviting the centres of the University System of Aragon to participate in the pilot evaluation for the certification of their programmes of commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (ALCAEUS programme).
The ALCAEUS programme provides an assessment framework, unprecedented in Spain, to assess the degree of commitment of centres and/or universities and research centres at national and international level to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Given the novelty of this programme, with no references to guide it within the external quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), it is considered appropriate and essential to carry out a pilot assessment to apply the protocol, carry out its meta-evaluation and establish the corresponding improvements.
The call for this pilot assessment is addressed to the centres of the University System of Aragon that have obtained institutional accreditation during the 2018/2019 academic year.
