26/10/2020.- Today the Spanish Network of University Quality Agencies (REACU) met by videoconference. In the meeting, in which the directors of all the autonomous agencies and ANECA participated, numerous current topics were discussed, such as the new models of virtual evaluation visits; the promotion of institutional re-accreditation; the challenges posed by the accreditation of joint inter-university degrees of an international nature (European universities) or the effects of the current pandemic on the work of the agencies and the monitoring of university education. The Director of ANECA, Mercedes Siles, also informed her colleagues about the ministerial initiative for a new six-year teaching period and the corresponding need to update the DOCENTIA program.
The next meeting of REACU will be dedicated to the study of general criteria on the quality of non-attendance and hybrid teaching, based on the work being promoted by the Ministry of Universities. At the same time, meetings of the technical teams of all the agencies will be held to exchange information, to compare guides and their own protocols and to advance in the elaboration of new protocols, common to all the Spanish agencies.
