The ACPUA attended the webinar "European Universities ARQUS, SEA-ES and ULYSSEUS: success of Andalucía universities" organised by the Directorate of Evaluation and Accreditation - Andalusian Knowledge Agency (DEVA) in collaboration with the Universidad de Cádiz. After the welcome speech by the Rector of the Universidad de Cádiz and the Secretary General of Universities, Research and Technology, the universities of Granada, Cádiz and Sevilla presented their European partnership projects ARQUS, SEA-EU and ULYSSEUS respectively. Of the first 41 European universities created from two calls, 24 have Spanish participation and 3 are coordinated by these Andalusian universities.
The "European Universities" initiative responds to the demand to build a European Higher Education Area through the creation of strategic networks and transnational alliances between higher education institutions to promote the constitution of "European Universities" called to become the universities of the future. Among the objectives is the offer of student-centred curricula jointly taught on inter-university campuses.
