The Aragon Agency for Quality Assurance and Foresight Strategic in Higher Education (ACPUA) reaffirms its support to the United Nations (UN) Global Compact, for the next two years, to its Ten Principles in human rights, labour standards, environment and anti-corruption areas. Any comments to enrich this contribution to these goals from the whole higuer education community and our stakeholders are welcome.
This Communication describes the measures taken by our organisation to support the UN Global Compact and its principles, as suggested for an organisation such as ours. As a innovative measure, we highlight the development of the social dimension of the ACPUA with the existence of a new protocol of the recently approved ALCAEUS programme, the first evaluation programme for universities within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that evaluates the degree of commitment of higher education institutions to the Sustainable Development Goals. This Certification, a pioneer in Spain, passed the pilot phase in 2022, positively completing the evaluation of two university centres of the University of Zaragoza.
ACPUA is also committed to sharing this information with our stakeholders through our main communication channels, as we have been doing for the last two years through presentations, meetings, seminars, website and social networks.
