As part of the activities taking place on the occasion of the French Presidency of the European Union, the French agency HCERES organized a conference on March 16 entitled "L'évaluation, étape indispensable vers l'espace européen de l'enseignement supérieur et de la recherche". The ACPUA attended this interesting event, which brought to the surface the most important challenges that universities and quality assurance agencies are currently facing in terms of quality assurance in teaching and research. The main associations and networks of EHEA stakeholders were present at the conference. On behalf of the agencies, Douglas Blackstock, president of ENQA; Jolanta Silka, of the Latvian agency AIC and member of the ENQA Board; Antonio Uricchio, president of ANVUR (an Italian agency with which the ACPUA maintains special collaboration relations) took part in different sessions. Thierry Coulhon, president of HCERES, the host French agency, presided over the event.
