ACPUA has attended the first online seminar that the Hungarian National Agency for Higher Education Acceditation has organized in 2022. This webinar on the DEQAR system has been given by Colin Tück, Director of the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education, chaired by Adam Kegler, General Secretary of the organizing entity, its President, Prof. Dr. Csêpe Valéria and its Secretariat´s deputy director, Peter Levente.
The mail goal of this webinar, with more tan 70 participants from different nationalities, has been to learn about the current situation of this register set up in 2018, as well as its useful forecasts in the next years. Specifically, its bases on transparency and trust has been highlighted, complying with European quality standards ESG2015, explaining its wider use among higher education organizations (support in decision-making and partnerships platform), researchers (search for statistical data) and the student body (quality knowledge about study places).
The director has also answered other issues: management of the register for high education alliances (bearing in mind the latest European Commission file on the matter), the chance of using English language in all documents, the possible motivation in international rankings or the forecast inclusión of microcredentials.
