On 2 March, the ACPUA presented a new infographic on guidance for access to universities in Aragon. The General Director of Universities, Yolanda Sancho (deputy director of ACPUA), welcomed all the attendees in the facilities of the Ibercaja Youth Space.
Relevant stakeholders in this field took part in this Seminar on higher education quality: University of Zaragoza, San Jorge University, Ibercaja Orienta, Cepyme, Federation of Metal Entrepreneurs, Zaragoza City Council, Chamber of Commerce and SUA students.
After the presentation on the basis, relevance and goal of the tool by the ACPUA technicians, there were two speakers:
- Irene Melchor, teacher and training coordinator of IES Miguel Catalán (member of the ACPUA's Thematic Evaluation Subcommittee, SETE). She presented the content of the infographic.
- Juan Antonio Planas, President of the Psychopedagogy Aragon Association. He presented the current situation of young people and the current role of counselors in Aragonese educational centers.
Under the slogan "Inform yourself and decide your education!" updated links to 5 relevant topics, carefully selected by public and private stakeholders from Aragon and the rest of Spain, are detailed in both Spanish and English.
The content is mainly focused on supporting students in their decision making process in the following areas: choice of higher education studies in Aragon and Spain, available degrees (access, levels, institutions, satisfaction reports, scholarships and grants), resources for employability and entrepreneurship, opportunities for free counseling and emotional support, and other options related to vocational training.
With this infographic, set up on ACPUA´s website and disseminated through social networks, teachers, students and families can easily find and access resources to facilitate decision-making, with a simple click.
