The Director of the ACPUA attended the presentation in Madrid of the Bertelsmann Foundation's report, the result of institutional collaboration with the Conference of Social Councils of Spanish Universities and the Mondragon Unibertsitatea.
The Higher Education Quality Assurance Agencies are faced with the new challenge of implementing university degrees with dual training. The need to integrate university and business when designing degrees and student competences has led to this early methodology and teaching planning in the university offer.
The universities of the Basque Country, the University of Lleida and the Jaume I University of Castellón have been pioneers in this modality and have been able to take a step forward by means of pilot projects integrated into their academic offer. At this conference held in Madrid, all of them presented their experiences, problems and immediate and future challenges in order to develop these new models that provide a new student profile that meets the needs of employers through the acquisition of skills in parallel to their experience and integration into the world of work.
We recommend reading this innovative report, which not only gather the state of play in Spain, but also includes trends in dual training in Europe.
