The ACPUA presented its new publication: Quality Generation. Design your "likes" and be happy, in the Youth Area of Ibercaja. The Seminar was led by the Director of the ACPUA, Cristina Rodríguez Coarasa and counted with the following speakers, after the welcome address by Alberto Pérez Lorente, Director of Youth Area at Ibercaja: the Professor of Psychiatry, Javier García Campayo, the author of the publication, Belén Serrano Valenzuela and the President of the Student Council of Zaragoza, Eduardo Serrano Ibáñez.
The event was attended by more than fifty people from the university education community and the Government of Aragon, with special interest shown by the student representatives of the Council of the University of Zaragoza and other G9 universities. The University of Zaragoza was represented by the following members: Vice-Rector for Academic Policy, Director of the Secretariat for Quality and Teaching Innovation, and a technician from the University Office for Attention to Diversity (OUAD). The interest of the Government of Aragon was shown through: Secretary General of the Presidency, Director General of Universities and the Director General of SMEs and the Self-Employed.
This new publication is part of the ACPUA+Students programme and the ACPUA Learns series and was created with the aim of responding to the results generated in the Focus Group developed in 2022. The ACPUA was interested in finding out about the emotional state of university students after the pandemic by evaluating these three dimensions: learning and teaching, communication with the teaching staff and emotional state before and after the pandemic.
Due to the complicated mental health situation of the university community and immersed in our internal strategic planning process for the next four years, the ACPUA has decided to collaborate, by publishing this publication, to alleviate the socio-emotional difficulties of higher education students, as well as of young people entering the university system or who, in their transition to employment, need psychological guidance and support.
